CCA RETAIL GROUP UNVEILS CONNEXTION CONFERENCE

January 9, 2023

2023 is sure to be one of the most exciting in CCA Global Partners Retail Group’s history, with the Spring arrival of Retail 2.0 in showrooms – the company’s innovative approach to reinventing retail through its unique selling system, which includes both a physical and digital merchandising system aimed at simplifying the floor buying process.

The rollout plans for Retail 2.0, along with several exciting marketing and technology innovations will be announced at conneXtion —the company’s newly developed rebrand of their convention, which reflects the importance of networking, member connections, and leading the industry. Members will also be treated to an unmissable conversation between division presidents Keith Spano and John Gilbert, accompanied by one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

The Winter conneXtion will focus on innovations in retail by simplifying the floor buying process, driving business in a challenging economy, breakthrough marketing solutions and leveraging on-line technology for independent retailers.

The learning continues beyond stage presentations, with in-depth education and networking sessions and an expansive trade show floor. Attendees will see the value of their membership by interacting with product and digital technologies, and hear real-world business cases that back up the company’s strategies.

“Retail 2.0 is the culmination of years of research, planning and development. Over this past summer, we shared details for Retail 2.0 and created an interactive 10,000 sq. ft. showroom right in the exhibit hall,” said Keith Spano. “At this conneXtion, we are rolling out the largest merchandising and marketing initiative in CCA’s history, putting nearly eight million SKUs in the field and a launching thousands of new websites for members across the retail group.”

The Winter 2023 agenda also provides attendees with invaluable opportunities to connect and network with fellow retailers and flooring industry leaders, while sharing best business practices, inspiration, and ideas.

“There is nothing more important than connecting with our members and helping them connect

with their customers. Driving more leads and converting them to a sale is at the top of our list.

We’ve built the most sophisticated in-house marketing team in the industry and equipped our members with cutting edge marketing technology to support and track lead conversion. No other group or agency has the best interests of our members in mind, and the ability to deliver unmatched flooring expertise across SEO, digital advertising, website excellence, and social media.”

The convention kicked off on Sunday, January 8 with an exclusive Women of CCA special event. On Monday, January 9 at 8 a.m. the convention continues with a day of one-on-one sessions, pre-convention meetings, and a welcome reception. Tuesday’s events include general sessions, networking meetings and the trade show. The final day features education sessions, general session, trade show, an “In Conversation With” special guest presentation followed by a riveting closing event.

ALAN GREENBERG CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT RAISES $130,000 FOR FLOOR COVERING INDUSTRY FOUNDATION

September 22, 2022

The 20th annual Alan Greenberg Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Floor Covering Industry Foundation took place yesterday the historic Barnsley Gardens in Georgia.  The event raised $130,000 for the Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF.)

Funds from the tournament support the foundation’s ongoing efforts to assist those who are currently, or have been, affiliated with the floor covering industry and are experiencing unanticipated hardships due to illness, disability, or other life-altering circumstances.

The organization helps families dealing with issues ranging from organ transplants, cancer treatments and other types of financial assistance to those who really need it, at a time in their life when they really need it.

“Everyone was so happy to be back together in person for the tournament. We have an incredible community that really shows up for each other and turns out to give back,” said Charlie Dilks, Chief Product Officer at CCA Global Partners and Chairman of the FCIF Board. “We’re grateful for all who participated and donated to the cause. Our aim is always to raise much needed funds for the many who need help in our floor covering family, and this was a tremendous result.”

Attended by business owners, vendors, manufacturers, distributors, and supporters from all over the nation, the tournament is a day of fellowship, friendship, and the opportunity for friendly competition, aimed at a common goal of goodwill. Their contributions to the FCIF – via participation in the tournament as well as event sponsorships –will assist the foundation at a time when it’s needed the most.To learn more about the tournament or to apply for aid, please visit www.FCIF.org.

CCA GLOBAL PARTNERS #5 ON BNH’S 2022 BEST COMPANIES TO WORK FOR LIST

September 8, 2022

For 25 years, Business NH Magazine has recognized businesses that go out of their way to create engaging workplaces and understand that fulfilled employees are more productive. For 10 years CCA Global has made the list. This year at #5!

What makes CCA Global so special?

At CCA, we put a focus on employees and their families, and a great illustration of this is that we have flexible schedules that recognize the importance of our personal lives. It is standard practice by all employees to telecommute Mondays and Fridays every week with Tuesday thru Thursdays being in-office days, with the flexibility to work with supervisors to telecommute as needed. As an award-winning employer of choice, CCA Global values the role it plays in being a leading example as one of very few companies in the state that offer all employees in the organization paid family leave for both new mothers and fathers.

Wellness is an essential part of life and CCA makes it a priority to go beyond the insurance benefits and help employees find time to take care of themselves during busy and challenging work/life schedules. Given its importance from a physical and mental health perspective, it is a longstanding priority to incorporate a wide variety of wellness programs into the workplace and workday to increase accessibility and enable more people to participate. Free fresh fruit, flavored flat and sparkling water, unlimited coffees and teas is available to in-office employees. In partnership with Leanbox, a healthy vending machine company out of Boston, employees have access to healthy snacks, meals, and drinks for purchase. Both in-office and virtual employees have been offered coffee mugs and water bottles to promote a healthy intake of water. On top of the healthy and delicious snacks and sips, free gym memberships are available to all employees at a local gym within walking distance of the office, or a Planet Fitness near their home, making it convenient for lunchtime, pre- or after- work workouts

Geared to both employees and members of CCA Global, internally run programs such as the Nex40 and the Women of CCA are developing the next generation of leaders within the company. The Nex40 is a young professionals network that was initiated as an employee idea to help connect younger members with each other. The idea quickly grew into one of the most engaged group of members and employees providing learning opportunities, idea sharing, and feedback among the group and with company leadership. The Women of CCA, similarly inspired by employees, grew out of the need to provide a network support for women working in the male-dominated flooring industry. The group is run by committee made up of a cross section of female employees and leaders and is in its 4th year running.

Dog days at CCA Global do not refer to those hot days in early August – and they aren’t restricted to just dogs! Many dogs, and once a rabbit and a couple of goats, are welcome at CCA Global and many are known on a first-name basis. We believe our four-legged friends look forward to the work day just as much as we do so they can socialize with their canine colleagues and favorite humans – the office manager Maureen is especially adored by all the furry friends.

The corporate giving and volunteerism we are engaged in here in the New Hampshire community is often informed and inspired by employee connections and employees themselves. CCA Global is deeply committed to giving back to local organizations that are making a difference in the community. This includes creating volunteer opportunities during the workday and at the workplace whenever possible. For 8 years, our employees have served as Big Brothers and Big Sisters (BBBS) and we currently have multiple active matches, or mentorships, through three local schools. Whether office-wide, or a single division, or a single person, there is always a charitable activity going on at CCA. This year one of our division’s is celebrating their 15th anniversary in operation and instead of a big lavish party, employees have led the charge in dedicating a monthly activity to charitable giving here in New Hampshire.

In 2022, ownership really matters. At CCA Global we have held this belief since 1984 when we incorporated as a cooperative. This means our company, unlike massive multinational conglomerates and publicly traded companies, is both owned and controlled by the thousands of individual family business owners who make up our membership. CCA Global was founded as a cooperative to be a force for good from day one; where 100% of its mission is to drive positive social change, 100% of the company is member-owned, and 100% of its profits are sent back to the independent family business owners who are members of CCA Global, and not extracted from the business to outside shareholders. CCA Global is a national and international leader and pioneer in cooperative business. Building on the people before profits vision and model, we have helped millions of independent family businesses effectively compete with large multinational companies.

FLOORING AMERICA/FLOORING CANADA ANNOUNCES 2022 STYLE WATCH LIST

January 12, 2022

Manchester, NH – Fueled by the pandemic’s home improvement boom, the flooring industry is experiencing a surge in popularity as consumers spending more time at home embarked on renovations and upgrades. As we head into a new year, Flooring America/Flooring Canada just released its 2022 Style Watch –a trend prediction of the 10 most distinctive flooring styles to watch this year.

2022 Flooring Style Watch:

1. Hints of Blue. When it comes to infusing color into flooring, blue is fast becoming the new “neutral”. And with Pantone naming Very Peri, a periwinkle blue shade as 2022 Color of The Year, look for blue hues in interiors and flooring. Blue tends to be “trend proof” and stay en vogue. Blue shades can also maintain the neutral look of floors.
Get The Look: Riverside Jungle by Tigressa Cherish in Lakeside

2. Luxurious Comfort. In chaotic times, people turn to comforts of the past and turn their homes into cozy retreats. A subset of the cottage core trend, luxurious comfort includes the return of wallpaper, vintage furniture, and soft, plush carpets. Consumers will continue to seek the comfort of a soft carpet underfoot by installing carpet in bedrooms, living rooms and family areas.
Get The Look: Rival & Delightful by Revival by Resista in Succulent

3. Distressed Vintage. The Cottage Core trend goes hand-in-hand with another 2022 style to watch: Distressed Vintage. Think white-washed antique barn and hand-scraped European Oak finishes that create lived-in interiors and harken back to retro styles from black-and-white tile to traditional dark hardwood flooring.
Get The Look: Gilmore White Oak by Floorcraft Heritage in Burly

4. Organically Natural. During the lockdown with so many having to put vacations on hold or work from home, many yearned to bring the outdoors inside and expand outdoor living spaces. This will continue into next year, with increased focus on nature-inspired textures and all natural materials. Bring this trend inside the home with wood, natural stone, or greenery.
Get The Look: Revo Tile in Power Grey Matte

5. Multipurpose Workspaces. Speaking of work from home, it continues to drive the market as WFH paves the way for continued upgrades to the working spaces in the home so offices or co-workspaces feature floors that combine function and feel good underfoot.
Get The Look: Moonlight by Tigressa Cherish in Reflection

6. Lighter and Brighter. Light floors will continue to be popular in 2022, making white oak and white ash appealing choices for many homeowners wishing to remodel their floors. Light colors open the home and act like mirrors by refracting light to make spaces with few windows and natural light feel larger and less confining.
Get The Look: Downs H2O Timber in Gainsboro

7. Waterproof Flooring: For active families with kids and pets, the waterproof wave in flooring will continue well into 2022. These flooring products can withstand all kinds of unexpected accidents thanks to waterproof cores and revolutionary scratch-resistant technology.
Get The Look: Lanes Prairie White Oak by Aquadura H2O in Banana Cream

8. Patterns on Patterns. Designers are predicting a pivot to patterns on carpets. Fun textures add dimension and patterns lend a distinct warmth to home design that can be subtle or bold. The maximalist trend will feature loud layered patterns and dramatic animal print area rugs.
Get The Look: Define Yourself by Design Distinction in Sugar Sand

9. Unlimited Variation. Embracing the beauty in wood variances is predicted to be one of next year’s design trends. Following a season of monochrome palettes with whites, grays and beiges, design will turn toward variation and various colorations across floors making it more conducive to decorating the surrounding room with warm and cool tones.
Get The Look: Downs H20 Plank in Bristlecone Pine

10. Charismatic Personality. While many new flooring styles include modern finishes, warm and natural-feeling floors are an everlasting style popular in homes year after year– and this year is no exception. There’s evidence that this trend is hot for 2022, with aesthetics that thrill both traditional and blended design types like modern farmhouse and shabby chic.

CARPET ONE FLOOR & HOME ANNOUNCES TRENDING TEN 2022 FORECAST

December 16 2021

Predicting The Top 10 Flooring Styles for Next Year

Manchester, NH – Even with so many changes over the last 18 months, some things never change like the ever-present urge to update your home design with the upcoming trends. With a new year on the horizon, it’s time to break out the metaphorical crystal ball and make predictions. The home improvement industry is booming and with consumers spending so much time at home (and revamping their homes), home improvement retailers are armed with an even keener sense of what’s to come based on buying patterns and lifestyle predictions.

Carpet One Floor & Home announces its 2022 Trending 10, a “floorcast” of the upcoming year’s top 10 most distinctive flooring trends.

1. Limitless Shades.
For 2022, look for floors that find beauty in variation. Following a season of trending monochrome palettes such as whites and beiges, bringing a little variation into the mix elevates the design and makes it easier to decorate around it with warm hues and colors.
Get the Look:  JACKSON HILL PLANK BY INVINCIBLE H2O

2. Pet Friendly.
Active households with children and pets appreciate the functions of a floor that can handle life’s toughest mishaps. Thanks to new technology, spills, scratches, and dents don’t stand a chance against this year’s flooring products that can take on all kinds of unexpected accidents. Even homes without pets and kids can benefit from the sheer durability of this top-trending flooring that’s not only made to last, but also made to impress with its beautiful visuals.
Get the Look: SHELBY LANE WHITE OAK BY HYDROTEK H2O IN ANTIQUE

3. Lighter Than Light.
Lighter floors will still be trending into 2022, making light hardwood such as white oak and white ash popular choices for many homeowners looking to redo their flooring. Aside from adding an airy, open vibe to your room, light colors can give your home the illusion of space. Much like mirrors, light surfaces refract light, which helps rooms that might have less windows and less natural light feel bigger and sunnier.
Get the Look: CHARLESTON PLACE BY INVINCIBLE H2O IN WINDHAM

4. Worn Out Vintage.
Vintage style has a certain timeless appeal, from the white-washed retro barn looks to distressed hand-scraped oak flooring products. This trend seeks to create interiors that feel lived-in, but also offers classically stylish looks and modern durability.
Get the Look: PORTLAND VIEW OAK BY RUSTIC RIVER IN HIGH RIDGE

5. Au Natural.
Whether it’s wood, limestone, or greenery, bringing the outside in will continue to bloom into 2022. Paired with other natural finishes or a variety of materials, these elements simply breathe life into a space –fresh indoor plants, cozy wool throws, and the healing properties of nature.  Using natural materials such as wood, limestone, and slate in your flooring will ground your home design in organic authenticity.
Get the Look: LIBERTY GROVE BY BEL TERRA IN WINTER WHITE

6. Shades of Blue.
For those looking to bring a bit of color into the home, but aren’t sure which palette to pick from, just do blue. Expect to see blue used in flooring either as an unexpected pop of color or as neutral addition to a space.
Get the Look: OAKMONT HILL BY TIGRESSA IN MARINA

7. Hybrid Workspaces.

The new year will see more work-from-home time, so it’s important that your flooring has a positive impact on productivity. Upgrade home offices with floors that function well and feel good, and you will see a lift in not only your spirits, but your workflow.
Get the Look: BEST OF SHOW BY TIGRESSA IN IVORY LACE

8. Cozy Comfort.
Nostalgia is real, so the trend of returning to basics like warm cottagecore, wallpapered walls, and vintage furniture will take center stage. Consumers are craving the warmth of a soft carpet underfoot, and there’s nothing more satisfying than getting out of bed in the morning to sink your toes into a cozy carpet.

9. Charm and Character.
While many up-and-coming styles feature modern looks, the charm and character of a floor that feels warm and natural has a way of making its way back into homes —and next year is no different. With the popularity of styles like modern farmhouse and shabby chic, there’s evidence that this trend is hot for 2022.

10. Patterns Galore.
Not to be confused with antique motifs and ‘80s flecked movie theater carpets, patterned carpeting is trending in 2022. Patterns can be an understated element used to elevate your design, especially since they give a space dimension and lend a special warmth to the room. Incorporate some patterns whether with subtle texture or a spicy animal-print area rug in the home office.

CCA GLOBAL UNIVERSITY NAMED ONE OF 2021’S TRAINING APEX AWARD WINNERS BY TRAINING MAGAZINE

EARNS BEST IN CLASS RECOGNITION FOR ITS PROGRAMS

December 6, 2021

MANCHESTER, NH – CCA Global University’s training programs and curriculum have been recognized for the second consecutive year as one of the top 100 nationwide with a 2021 Training APEX Award (formerly the Training Top 100) awarded by Training magazine.

Training magazine, the leading business publication for Learning and Development (L&D) professionals, ranked companies’ excellence in employer-sponsored training and development programs in 2021 to compile the list.

Since 2020, CCA Global University has expanded and created virtual training courses to provide sales professionals at all experience levels skills to understand the standards of performance, how to improve interactions with customers and build their book of business, boost key sales metrics such as close rate and average ticket, strengthen their brand knowledge and learn best practices on gaining integral referrals and reviews. They’ve also boosted financial acumen offerings for business leaders to help cope with ever-changing times.

“Our team has worked hard to create innovative and engaging onboarding and training programs via a virtual platform rather than in person,” said Nicole Harding, Vice President of CCA Global University. “I’m so proud of the courses we’ve created and the ways in which we’re still able to connect with our team members even when we’re not in the same room.”

Training magazine Editor-in-Chief Lorri Freifeld noted that with COVID-19 continuing to spark change in our professional (and personal) worlds, they made the decision to rebrand the Training Top 100 to the Training APEX Awards to reflect the winners’ journey to attain peak performance in employee training and development and organizational success.

She said: “We salute these best-in-class organizations for their laser-focused commitment to learning and development, their brilliance in continuing to successfully deliver training despite the ongoing pandemic, and their unwavering belief that Training Matters—and not only can it change the world but transform it.”
