CCA Global Partners is proud to announce that one of its summer interns, Alexandra “Allie” Withee, was awarded “Intern of the Year” by Stay Work Play through its annual Rising Stars Awards. This recognition highlights and celebrates the young people in New Hampshire that are making an outstanding impact on companies in the state.
“Allie quickly developed a clear understanding of our co-op model and philosophy and was able to use her analytical and research skills to uncover a potential business opportunity and provide new insights for a co-op tailored to nonprofit organizations,” said Howard Brodsky, co-CEO of CCA Global. “I’m delighted that Allie found her internship to be rewarding and am very pleased that her hard work and contributions resulted in her winning the Intern of the Year award.”
Withee, a 2019 St. Lawrence University statistics graduate, interned at CCA Global full time during the summer of 2018. During her project coordination internship role, she spearheaded meetings with local non-profit leaders where she conducted interviews to learn more about their organizational needs. Additionally, she researched a variety of fundraising software and explored their capabilities. Once her research phase was complete, she summarized her findings and developed a plan that pitched the creation of a co-op titled “Mission Builders,” that would provide tailored fundraising support for non-profits and their unique needs.
“I’m incredibly honored to be named the 2019 Intern of the Year,” Withee said. “I really enjoyed my time working as an intern at CCA Global Partners. It was a rewarding experience and one that allowed me to practice the skills that I’ve learned in school as well as challenge myself in new ways. I am proud of the work that I’ve done because I know that it has a positive contribution to CCA’s members and the community and am so honored to receive this award.”
CCA Global Partners, named to Business NH Magazine’s Best Companies to Work for in NH Hall of Fame, believes that interns are partners in fueling the company’s success by offering them real-world experience and meaningful projects. The company’s summer internship program allows interns to engage directly with its team, includes assigned mentors, and features work in groups on significant, business-related projects that are presented to CCA Global leadership at the end of the internship.
An initiative of Stay Work Play, in partnership with New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR), the Rising Stars Awards celebrate and recognize New Hampshire’s remarkable young people and the businesses that go the extra mile to recruit and retain them. The award recipients, selected by 31 judges from across the state (on individual award-specific panels), represent individuals and businesses making a contribution to their industries and the Granite State.
Withee was recognized at the 10th annual Rising Stars Awards ceremony on Thursday, October 17. More about the Rising Stars Awards at stayworkplay.org/risingstarsawards. More about CCA Global Partners at ccaglobalpartners.com.
